Forestry Ranger
Full time vacancy, Monday –Friday 40 hrs per week with some weekend working at time and a half.
Pay scale £13,015—£14,648 (Grade 1-Grade 5) depending on previous experience

A full time position is available for a hard working and flexible forestry ranger. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering lessons on forestry and woodland skills to often difficult teenage learners disengaged from mainstream school (training will be given)in a woodland setting. The role involves mentoring young people to help them achieve and feel valued.
Qualifications and relevant practical experience an advantage. Jobs include maintenance of the woodland, supervising small groups of learners, delivering life skills and woodland practical skills. Also working off site managing local woods for the Woodland Trust and footpath networks for local authority. Established social enterprise working to prove the value of ancient woodland in the 21st century.
Full driving license essential
Experience of working with young people beneficial, however training is given.
